Amyn’s journey began in community development in Pakistan, where he discovered his passion for research and policy. This passion has since guided his work with organizations such as Leonard Cheshire Disability, CBM International, and the Aga Khan Development Network. In these roles, he played a pivotal part in shaping disability-inclusive social protection systems and leading international research initiatives that have influenced policy development in countries like Kenya, Bangladesh, and South Sudan. His expertise lies in crafting solutions that address education, health, and social inclusion challenges on a global scale.

A thought leader in inclusive development, Amyn has collaborated with global organizations such as UNESCO, the World Bank, and the ILO, leading research that has informed policy frameworks and shaped international agendas. His approach is grounded in a firm belief in the power of research and evidence-based solutions to solve the world’s most pressing issues.

Amyn holds a Master of Arts in Contemporary Ethics from the University of London and has earned certifications in executive leadership from Cornell University, among others. This academic foundation, combined with his extensive professional experience, makes him a recognized voice in the fields of inclusive development, research methodologies, and social protection.

In recent years, Amyn faced a personal challenge—his battle with cancer—which has only strengthened his commitment to the work he does. Now on the road to recovery, he brings a renewed sense of purpose to his efforts to ensure that marginalized communities—particularly people with disabilities, women, and children—have access to the systems and opportunities necessary to live dignified and empowered lives.

Amyn remains driven by a passion for social justice, leadership, and resilience, continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in research and development. He is focused on delivering meaningful change through projects that align with his values and a life rooted in purpose.
